Rogue Sails was started by Josh 'BooBoo' Tucker and his wife Sara who together have a wealth of knowledge in all things to do with sailing.
Josh has over 30 years in the sail making business, working for all the big sail making lofts around the world as well as over 150,000nm of offshore sailing. Over this time his skills have ranged from cruising around the world with a family of 3 young kids to racing at the highest level on anything from One Design sportboats through to Supermaxi’s. With numerous national championships, offshore race wins and epic adventures such as a season spent in the Alaskan ice and sailing around Cape Horn under jury rig on the Open 60 Hugo Boss.Josh is a well known name in the NZ and international sailing scene and highly regarded in the marine industry.
Sara has multiple NZ national championships, a silver medal in the ISAF world sailing games and spent 20 years working in the sailing office at the RNZYS in various rolls from the youth training secretary to the sailing manager. Sara is just at home racing in one design boats as she is in an office and on top of that shes an expert in offshore cruising with young kids.
Josh and Sara first met in the RNZYS youth training program in 1995 and the rest is a tale of fun and adventures on the ocean.
